Garrett Laurie

Garrett Laurie is a cinematic dark-pop artist from Belfast. They have performed with the likes of Hex Hue, Stranger Dais, Joel Harkin, and fellow NextGen Fund recipient Niall McDowell. He has also contributed to Problem Pattern’s 'Bangers N’ Pride' compilation in support of LGBTQ art.

Goodnice

Goodnice is a musician and producer originally from Ireland, now based in Scotland. The NextGen Fund supported him to create a four-track electronic EP exploring rhythm and real instrumentation in dance music.

Hemes

Hemes is an artist based in South Wales. She has received support from BBC Radio Wales, having her music placed on the BBC Wales A-List for multiple weeks, and has performed on the BBC Introducing Stage at the BBC 6 Music Festival.

Indy Newland

Indy Newland is a singer, rapper, and producer originally from Leeds, now based in London. He has performed shows in notable venues in both cities, including Hyde Park Book Club, Oporto, The Wardrobe, Hifi Club, Headrow House and Peckham Audio.

JED

JED is a rapper and promoter based in Devon. His music has been played by DJs and radio stations including DJ EZ, Kiss FM and BBC Devon as well as landing interviews and premieres in a range of publications. He is also the founder of events company AGB, which puts on shows that highlight undiscovered artists in his local scene. Many of his events to date have sold out. He also performs regularly himself, and has headlined shows in both London and Brighton.

Lex Gibbon

Lex Gibbon is a singer based in the East of England. Her music has regularly been featured on BBC Introducing Essex and BBC Introducing 3 Counties, and she has performed a three-song acoustic live lounge session for them. Her songs have also received placements on Spotify editorial playlists, including 'Fresh Finds UK and Ireland', and her single 'Rather Be Lonely' has been played on ITV This Morning.

Maddie Morris

Maddie Morris is a contemporary folk musician from Leeds. They have won the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award and the Peter Roberts CBE Memorial Prize for their work, and have toured across the UK and Europe supporting artists including Nancy Kerr, Chuck SJ, Flyte and Angeline Morrison. They have also performed at Hartlepool, Cambridge, Towersey and Cropredy Folk festivals, and been selected for the English Folk Expo scheme.

Aaron Fairweather

Culture Marketing Artist and Talent Specialist, Red Bull

Hailing from the North West, proud Manchester man Aaron Fairweather, AKA Aeron Darka, is a DJ, creative and talent manager. Working with major global brands, creating partnerships, marketing and talent development across the entertainment and sports and lifestyle industries, he DJs for Hip Hop soul collective Children of Zeus, manages Abnormal Sleepz, and is keeping his foot entrenched in the music industries of both Manchester and London. A dot connector and facilitator by nature, he works for his community through his brand partnerships work and consistent drive to push Manchester culture, regional areas and the unheard communities from UK to JA, Nigeria and the diaspora and beyond to the masses through his work inside and outside of Culture Marketing at Red Bull UK.

Radio & TV Presenter

Abbie McCarthy is an award-winning presenter, DJ & content creator and one of the best and most heralded music tastemakers in the UK. Abbie is the go-to-girl for new music recommendations. Abbie currently presents for BBC Introducing and has discovered and has championed a vast array of great acts from the very start, including Mimi Webb, Venbee and many more. You can catch Abbie interviewing on your TV screens, via E4 Extra and The Box Network, hosting Fresh This Month, a show that shines a spotlight on the biggest new artists on the planet. Abbie is the mastermind behind Good Karma Club, a critically acclaimed gig night championing the hottest new artists around. The platform has provided early shows for the likes of Sam Fender, Olivia Dean, Mae Muller, Tom Grennan, Easy Life, Enny, Caity Baser, Cian Ducrot and many more. The sold-out nights have also featured a fair few famous faces in the crowd over the years, including Alex Turner, Lewis Capaldi & Bastille.

Comedian, Journalist & Broadcaster

Amelia Dimoldenberg's popular YouTube channel is home to the iconic Chicken Shop Date series, amassing 1.6 million subscribers, 230 million views and 13 million hours of content watched on the platform. Amelia runs her own production company Dimz Inc - which also is home to Amelia’s Cooking Show. Amelia's hosting duties include The BRITs, The NME Awards, The Mercury’s, Reading & Leeds Festival, British GQ’s Men of the Year Red Carpet and making her U.S red carpet debut for the 2023 Golden Globes. Awards include a 2021 Streamy Award (Chicken Shop Date) and a 2022 Glamour Woman of the Year (Creator of the Year).

Anthony Hamer-Hodges

Principal, LCCM

Anthony Hamer-Hodges, Principal of LCCM, began his music industry journey as a teenage DJ in Edinburgh, later becoming the Saturday night DJ for the VIP Tent at T in the Park for seven years. Moving to London, he worked on a number one album for the Manic Street Preachers at Sony Music, rose to Label Manager at Ministry of Sound, and managed British soul singer Nate James. After earning a Masters in Entertainment Law, Anthony held senior roles in brand licensing and music streaming. With over 30 years of industry experience, he now shares his expertise through education.

Cecilia Chan

Agent, Wasserman

Cecilia Chan set up independent agency The Pool. She joined Primary Talent International as assistant to agent Cris Hearn, and followed him to Coda in 2015. Alongside Hearn, she worked with artists including Mark Ronson, Gary Numan, Tricky, Above & Beyond, Planningtorock and is especially proud to have helped develop Kaytranada's live touring show since the beginning of his career. Chan has been involved in sustainability projects within the agency and through industry group Music Declares Emergency. She has signed artists including iamamiwhoami, LF System, Arielle Free, Ejeca, Shimza, Dot Major and recently added LOSTBOYJAY to her roster.

Christine Osazuwa

Chief Strategy Officer, Shoobs

Originally from Baltimore, Christine Osazuwa got her start in music at 15. She holds degrees in music, marketing and data science and combined those passions into roles in data & marketing at Universal Music Sweden and Warner Music Group in London. Currently, Christine is the Chief Strategy Officer for ticketing & event marketing startup Shoobs where she leads their marketing & brand partnerships strategy. In addition, she sits on the board of The LIVE Association, Indie Venue Week, and Keychange US. Christine is also the Founder of Measure of Music–part conference, part hackathon– which introduces music & data to others while highlighting majority minority attendees and speakers.

Elizabeth J. Birch

An award-winning musician, Elizabeth combines synthesisers, haunting vocals, and ordinary everyday objects to challenge what music is, how it’s made and who musicians are. She was featured as one of the Mastercard Music Trailblazers ahead of the 2024 BRIT awards. Her second EP ‘Kenopsia’ released in 2023 explored challenging subjects such as loss and grief, and received radio support from BBC Introducing, Unmade Radio and Black Country Radio. Elizabeth won the ‘Inspirational Music Leader’ award at the Youth Music Awards in 2023 for her inclusive community music and facilitation workshops.

Ellie is the host of her show, Ellie on Kiss, airing Monday to Thursday from 7-9pm. This flagship programme places the station’s music-loving audience at the heart of it all, curating the most listened-to, watched, streamed, and shared tracks that are currently trending. In addition to this, Ellie is now part of the Kisstory family, hosting Monday to Friday from 1-4pm, and also bringing a fresh energy to her new Thursday night Kiss Xtra timeslot from 9-11pm, where she showcases the best of Drill and UK Rap. Here, she introduces 28 new artists every week, giving them their first-ever Kiss play. Her segment, 15 Seconds Deep: The Competition, shows two artists go head-to-head for the coveted number one spot on Ellie’s Kiss Xtra show.
