He has performed at the Northern Writers Awards and Newcastle Cathedral, alongside Beverly Knight and Soweto Gospel Choir. He has also worked with Write Up and Rise to create the song 'I Am Here', which raises awareness about the impact of mental health crises on young people. With the NextGen Fund, he worked with a producer to record three tracks, and a local videographer to create a high-quality music video to accompany them. alumni Noah Bouchard Noah Bouchard is an alternative hip-hop artist from Wales. The NextGen Fund enabled him to develop and release his 12-track debut album, 'Love of My Life'. His song 'Dad's Clothes' was the winner of the Lyricist Award at the Youth Music Awards 2024. Read more alumni Ogun Ogun is a poet, writer, activist, musician and fashion designer. He is the Agent for Change at the Arts Council of Wales. His EP 'Flight Mode' was placed on a list of the '100 Greatest Welsh Albums of All Time' by Wales Arts Review, has received support from BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra, and has performed at a variety of venues and festivals including FOCUS Wales, Tiny Rebel Fest, 2 headline gigs in Porters (Cardiff), Swn Festival, Le Pub (Newport), The Moon (Cardiff) and a headline show at Clwb Ifor Bach (Cardiff). He has also been named a 'Future Figure' by BBC 1Xtra, featured in a documentary by It's My Shout looking at MOBO music in Wales, and was selected for Forte Project's artist development programme in Wales. alumni Peri Rae Peri Rae is a singer originally from London, now based in Cornwall. She has been named 'One to Watch' by BBC Introducing, an 'artist you have to meet' by Rolling Stone, and has had several of her songs placed on Spotify editorial playlists - including 'Our Generation', 'New Music Friday UK' and 'Fresh Finds UK and IE'. She has also been invited to feature on the award-winning podcast The Guilty Feminist, performed an intimate showcase at Soho House Greek Street, and has supported James Bay, Kevin Garrett, Nathan Ball and Alfie Templeman on tour. Peri has also performed at festivals including Great Estate, Rock Oyster and Boardmasters; and last year, her song 'the ocean (i could die)' was shortlisted for the Music Video Award at the Youth Music Awards 2024. His track 'Le Monde' was featured in the soundtrack to the film 'Talk To Me', and has been streamed over 100 million times. Last year, he was the winner of Rising Star (Artist) at the Youth Music Awards 2024. He has also performed at EartH Hackney, created a song with Wretch32 as part of Apple's MadeInLDN documentary, and was invited to a two-week writing camp in LA following the viral success of 'Le Monde' across streaming and social media. news NextGen Community Event: Making Your Mark as an Independent Creative In association with Bandcamp and YGN, our second London-based NextGen Community event of 2025 explored how independent artists and creatives can stand out in 2025. The music video for his song 'Too Many' was shortlisted for the Music Video Award at the Youth Music Awards 2022, and expresses his emotions about street life, the dangers of knife crime, and the impact of violence on young people. He has also performed at Godiva Festival, and has received radio support from BBC Coventry & Warwickshire. The NextGen Fund funded his album 'Overlooked'. alumni Supermann on da beat Supermann on da beat is a producer, beat-maker, content creator and disability activist based in Scotland. He is the editor for Hip Hop Scotland, a platform which puts a spotlight on Scottish hip-hop artists, and makes content for BBC The Social. He is also an A&R with Imvaize Music Group, and has worked with a wide range of emerging artists from across his local scene, including randombrownkid., Denizens, Áine Curry and ENJI. He has received frequent radio support from BBC Introducing, BBC Asian Network and BBC Radio Scotland, and has appeared in documentaries and TV reports by BBC Scotland and BBC Scotland's 'The Nine'. He was the winner of the Social Action Award at the Youth Music Awards 2024, for his work to champion and advocate for Disabled artists and music creatives, and was further shortlisted for Rising Star (Industry). alumni The Pink Nostalgia The Pink Nostalgia is an artist based in North London. The NextGen Fund supported the release of his EP, 'Youth & Observation', and which was supported by live gigs with his live band. alumni Tsatsamis Tsatsamis is a London-based artist, producer and songwriter. His music has reached over a million streams across his tracks, and the London date of his 'Our Shame' tour in October 2024 sold out. His track 'Everybody Wants a Piece of You' was placed #10 out of 'The 100 Best Songs of 2023' by i-D Magazine, his other songs have been featured on Spotify editorial playlists including 'Fresh Finds Pop', and he was named one of 10 Men Magazine's 'New Noise Artists of 2025'. He has also performed at festivals including Glastonbury Festival and Mighty Hoopla. Last year, he was shortlisted for the Music Producer Award at the Youth Music Awards 2024. alumni Jaidon Regis Jaidon Regis is a drummer, musical director, promoter and the founder of Wavey Nights. As a drummer, he has performed with Asha Gold (at BBC Introducing LIVE and Glastonbury), Che Lingo and Ray BLK (at their headline shows). Under the Wavey Nights umbrella, he has promoted artists such as UK rap star Cristale, at venues such as White City House. The NextGen Fund funded two further Wavey Nights shows. alumni WOLFPEACHES WOLFPEACHES is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Sheffield.
