What's the Industry Connect Coalition?

The Industry Connect Coalition is a collaborative initiative led by Youth Music that brings together key players across the creative industries to drive long-term change.

The Industry Connect Coalition is being launched in response to key findings from Youth Music’s Industry Connect research. It aims to implement practical solutions that open up music and creative industry careers for underrepresented young people.

What is it trying to achieve?

The Coalition aims to break down barriers to entry in the music and wider creative industries, creating more accessible, inclusive, and sustainable career pathways for young people from underrepresented backgrounds.

The Coalition supports four core recommendations:

Improved collaboration through a national music strategy

Re-imagined curriculum and careers advice

Enhanced non-formal pathways programmes

Safer and more inclusive working cultures.

Who's behind the Coalition?

The Coalition is proudly led by Youth Music and, at the time of writing, brings together 24 partner organisations.
