Bridging the Gap to Music Careers

For 25 years, Youth Music has invested over £10m annually to make music accessible for marginalised young people. Many aspire to careers in music but face significant barriers, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds.

The industry’s rapid evolution has created a gap between education and the skills young people need. Youth Music’s Industry Connect study maps these challenges and offers solutions to improve pathways into music careers.

With thanks to Chris McGuire, Dan Smith and everyone who contributed to Industry Connect.
