KUNTEAA

Greater London

 

KUNTEAA is an East London–born DJ with Jamaican and St Vincentian roots who, over the past three years, has developed a genre-fluid style that moves seamlessly across rap, jungle, bass, ballroom, house, techno, gqom, and dancehall. Drawing from sounds across the global diaspora, their selections weave together disparate rhythms and tempos to create sets that are both exploratory and deeply rooted, linking cultures sonically while pushing club music into unexpected territory.

DJ Grace plays soul, funk, and hip hop, crafting sets that emphasise groove, rhythm, and flow. Her selection balances classic tracks with contemporary sounds, creating a consistent, engaging experience for the dance floor. Project 'DJ Grace' is focused on developing her skills as a DJ, refining her sound, experimenting with vinyl DJing and expanding her presence in the music scene. Through practice, performance, and networking, the project aims to develop Grace as an artist and secure more gig opportunities.

Haaji Ka Halva

North East
 

Haaji Ka Halva is an electronic music producer and DJ, who uses a sampler pad to deconstruct and reassemble well-know dance tracks. She loves blending vocal samples of South Asian songs from her childhood over old-school rave classics. These hybrid sets, both live and online, combine live performance with DJ-ing and expressive visuals. With the NextGen Fund grant, she aims advance her production, mastering and marketing skills, so that she can release high-quality remixes and original material.

Alien Izz

Alien Izz

Alien Izz is a DJ and producer based in Liverpool. She has performed at a variety of shows and festivals both nationally and internationally, including the Baltic Weekender, Gottwood Festival, and Outlook Origins and Hideout Festival in Croatia. She is also a member of the DJ collective Sisu Crew, and has received support from BBC Introducing and BBC Radio 1 Dance.

Sweet Philly

Sweet Philly

Sweet Philly is a club producer, composer, mix engineer and DJ originally from Ireland, now based in Scotland. They regularly DJ in Edinburgh and Dublin, particularly as part of the club collective 'Femmergy', which runs parties focusing on safe club spaces for Queer clubgoers while raising money for charity. They have supported notable names such as Uniiqu3, Bimini Bon Boulash and Taahliah.

The Yard Woman

South West

 

The Yard Woman is a Greek-born, London-based DJ and producer. She has previously worked with Richie Hawtin, and has released tracks through respected labels including Simulate, Einmusika, Running Clouds, Pets Recordings and Epidemic Sound. With the help of the NextGen Fund, she is currently transitioning from her established work in Melodic Techno to explore new creative and professional possibilities in Melodic House. She plans to produce and release a two-track EP, bringing a fresh narrative-driven sound to the genre, and seeking to represent queer women in the electronic music scene.

Superlate

Superlate is a dance/pop producer based in Liverpool. His releases have gained support from BBC Radio 1, BBC Merseyside, and BBC Introducing; he performed in front of 10,000 people at the Eurovision Main Stage in Liverpool in 2023; and has also performed at BBC Introducing LIVE at The Cavern Club. He has also co-produced tracks for Youngr and worked with Grammy-nominated producer Adriano Allaverdi. He is now working on two thematic EPs, 'The Tropics' and 'The Moment', with the backing of the NextGen Fund.

HabibTati

Greater London

 

HabibTati is a DJ, music event producer and community organiser from London. They specialise in blending sounds from South-West Asia and the Middle East into the London music scene. Their NextGen Funded project will focus on integrating sounds and instruments from their heritage into several performances within London’s electronic music community.

Gabriella Bongo

Greater London

 

Gabriella Bongo is a songwriter, producer, DJ and recording engineer based in London. She has been lauded by BBC 1Xtra, BBC Radio 1, Hospital Records and Atlantic Records; has performed at the O2 Academy, the Royal Albert Hall, and Hospitality in the Woods Festival; and taken part in jam sessions with Nile Rodgers. The NextGen Fund is supporting Gabriella to release her next three singles.

Ebenezer Good

North East

 

Ebenezer Good is a producer, recording engineer and DJ based in Newcastle. He has performed at festivals across the UK including Kendall Calling, Dot2Dot in Bristol, and Waves Festival in Sunderland. With the NextGen Fund, he will be releasing three new singles, play at UK Garage and DnB events, and host guest mixes on his social media platforms and on radio.
