At Youth Music we believe it’s important that babies, children and young people are placed at the heart of creativity and creative projects. Early Years work should listen to them, respond to them and be shaped and driven by them. But what does this mean for babies and toddlers?

Exploring Co-Creation is a practical resource for practitioners and organisations starting co-creation work with young children. It supports projects with children aged 2–4 and their families, bringing together approaches and reflections used by partners in the Energiser Fund learning community. Designed as an accessible introduction, it offers a starting point for anyone wanting to better understand, listen to and create alongside young children.

Produced by the Groundswell Arts research team, the resource was commissioned as part of Youth Music's Energiser Fund. The Fund supports creative practice with 2–4-year-olds, centring children’s voices, experiences and participation in early years arts. You can download the full resource below.
