Sound of Change is a 12-month programme for 30 young people aged 14 –18 from Bristol's Global Majority communities. 

This is a collaborative process is informed by the young people first and foremost. Many are from refugee backgrounds, speak English as an additional language, or face real barriers to making music. 

Together you'll go from first lyric to finished recording, original tracks rooted in social justice and made to be heard. The year ends with a music video and a public showcase. 

You will be expected to co-lead 46 two-hour sessions that focus on teaching songwriting, vocals, production and performance. 

Particularly as socioeconomically disadvantaged, and minority community groups face barriers in accessing creative pathways, this opportunity aims to use music as a way to connect social activism and music while empowering young people.
