About Memory Box

Memory Box is a fully independent underground music project with a 13-year backstory of club nights, plus a few releases and upcoming radio. I’ve spent my life in the scene as a DJ, promoter, and producer, and I’m ready to build a fresh team that I will lead to take the project into its next chapter.

I would like a big part of Memory Box’s next phase to be focused on addressing the gender imbalance in electronic music. Because of this, we particularly welcome and strongly encourage applications from women looking for a safe, supportive space to gain real industry experience.

The Role: The Operator

My focus is entirely on the music, the curation, and the ideas. Honestly, I absolutely hate dealing with the paperwork, forms, and admin. I am looking for a partner who thrives where I don't—someone who genuinely loves the logistical, organisational, and funding side of underground music culture.

The Niche

We operate strictly within specialised electronic music and underground counterculture. If your musical home is in true techno, acid house, bass, electro, disco, and future mutations, you’ll get the vision immediately.

How It Works (Salary & Hours)

This is a real independent project, not a comfortable, passive desk job. I am looking for hungry, self-starting people who want to go out there and get it.

I am putting my own budget into this to get us started, so there is an initial budget of National Minimum Wage for 8–10 hours per week / flexible.

From day one, a massive part of our focus will be working together to lock in project funding and grants. Winning those bids is how we keep the project going, expand the budget, and build long-term, properly funded roles for the future. You bring the hustle; I provide the seed budget, the active platform, and decades of underground experience.

Location: Remote / Hybrid
How to Apply: Send an email to memoryboxparties@gmail.com with a brief intro about yourself, your background in the scene, and why you want to build this with us.
