Image The Nominees Dayzy (he/him) - WarNoise - Merseyside Youth Association - North WestDAYZY is a Liverpool rapper, singer-songwriter and storyteller whose music blends hip-hop, jazz influences and raw personal reflection. Supported by LIMF Academy, Jazz North, BBC Introducing and Apple Music, he uses his music to explore identity, heritage and resilience. The video for “War” was created as a family collaboration, with DAYZY and his younger brother leading the creative vision. Inspired by dreams of home, ancestry and self-discovery, it brings the themes of his acclaimed Land of Zion project vividly to life. Hillarynx (she/her) - The 3rdYouth Music NextGen Fund, LondonHillarynx is a South London singer-songwriter whose music blends jazz, soul and deeply personal storytelling. Rooted in Black feminist thought, she creates work that explores grief, identity and resilience with honesty and emotional depth. Supported by BBC Three, Rinse FM and Jazz FM, she has performed at venues including the Southbank Centre and Jazz Cafe. Her video for “The 3rd” was a community-led project inspired by lived experience, raising powerful conversations around loss, disability, culture and affirming life. IMVN (she/her) - SkinYouth Music NextGen Fund, LondonIMVN is a London-based artist, producer and violinist creating genre-blurring electronic music that explores identity, transformation and self-discovery. Combining striking visual storytelling with experimental sound, her work has earned support from BBC Introducing, COLORS and Mixmag. The video for “Skin”, co-directed while touring with FKA twigs, draws on contemporary dance, queer identity and themes of resilience. Created with an all queer, women and people of colour creative team, it showcases IMVN’s bold artistic vision and collaborative spirit. simon a. (he/him) - I CAN’T SELL THISYouth Music NextGen Fund, Londonsimon a. is a London artist whose music blends rap, R&B and soul with ambitious visual storytelling. Drawing on his background in film, he creates immersive projects that connect music, narrative and social commentary. His visual album ‘I CAN’T SELL THIS’ brought together 13 interconnected music videos by a team of emerging directors, challenging ideas of value and ownership in music. Supported by COLORSxSTUDIOS, BBC Introducing and GUAP, Simon is an innovative voice pushing creative boundaries across music and film.
