James Jones

James Jones

James Jones is a multi-instrumentalist and singer from Caerphilly, specialising in jazz violin, flamenco guitar and ukelele. He has supported ABBA The Show at Cardiff International Arena, playing to an audience of 5,000, was longlisted for the Welsh Music Prize, and won the Music Producer Award at the Youth Music Awards 2023.

DFlexXx

DFlexXx is a hip-hop and trap artist from Wales. He has played at venues across Wales including the Wales Millennium Centre, Tramshed Cardiff and Clwb Ifor Bach; as well as performed on the lineup of Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The NextGen Fund is supporting him to revelop and release his 'Prince of Wales' EP, with 25% of all proceeds from album sales set to go to The Prince's Trust, to empower other young creatives.

Connor Williams

Connor Williams (AKA 333) is a promoter based in Wales. He has put on successful shows in venues such as The Moon Club, Clwb Ifor Bach and Porter's, and with the NextGen Fund, has founded 'Diwylliant' - a series of live music events which showcase punk, queer punk and alternative rock music in Cardiff.

sorry stacy

sorry stacy is a Russian-Ukrainian multimedia artist, born in Estonia and now based in Wales. She has previously been part of the Forte Project, and performed at festivals including FOCUS Wales and Theatr Brycheiniog. She has also collaborated with fellow NextGen Fund Recipient Mali Hâf, and received recognition and support from BBC Horizons.

M. Yesekaon

M. Yesekaon is a hip-hop artist from North Wales. He has received support from Beacons Cymru via their Honey Sessions, and was named a Future Disruptor for his work in the North Welsh music industry. His music has also received repeated recognition from BBC Introducing.

Hannah Paloma

Hannah Paloma is a Welsh singer-songwriter and composer. She has previously worked with Ty Cerdd, produced bilingual songs in collaboration with other Welsh artists including Eädyth, and worked with Tredegar Brass Band at the Vale of Glamorgan Festival. She has also received support from BBC 6 Music with Tom Robinson.

ManLikeVision is a rapper from Newport. His debut album 'Boy From the South' was nominated for a Welsh Music Prize. He is a frequent live performer, and has performed at Immersed!/BBC Radio 6 Music Fringe, and supported artists like D Double E, Young T and Bugsey and Lady Leshurr.

Wrenna

Wrenna is a singer and songwriter based in Wales. Her indie, dream-pop sound has earned her a spot on the BBC Radio Wales Welsh A-List, as well as performances at festivals including In It Together and Llais Festival. She has also co-written songs for Latvia's Eurovision entries.

Connor Morgans

Connor Morgans is the founder of Adlais (meaning 'echo' in Welsh), which is a bilingual promoter of contemporary Welsh music. He is also a presenter on Radio Cardiff, a freelance producer for BBC Radio 1, and has hosted Anthem Cymru's 'Family Gathering'.

Mali Hâf is a singer from Wales. This year, she opened for Huw Stephens' BBC 6 Celebration, celebrating the best of Cardiff's music scene. She has also received support from Clash Magazine.
