An online event for Music Organisations, Youth Programme Leaders and Policy-Makers, hosted by Frances Howard, Brian McShane and Simon Glenister.

This book explores the landscape of youth work and music, music production and young people’s identities, and the opportunities and constraints within the measurement of these kinds of programmes. With a particular focus on electronic music production, and a critique of how the impact of youth music-making is valued and measured.

This event will share:

  • Authors’ commentaries on their individual chapters by way of introduction to the book,
  • insights from across the three themes of the book: youth work, identities and measurement,
  • practical guidance for music educators and cultural policymakers.
