Marsm UK is a leading promoter of music and culture from the Arabic-speaking world. Supported by Youth Music’s Industry Connect Fund, we are entering our third year of mentoring talented young people to bring their music project to life. This 9-month paid residency is designed for 18-25 year olds looking to gain entry and insight into the music industry.

Previous Young Producers have started a podcast, organised an Open Mic Night series and hosted a club night at Cambridge University.

Key Details:

Salary: £14.80 per hour (London Living Wage)
Commitment: 30 hours per month for 9 months (1 June 2026 – 26 Feb 2027)
Location: UK-wide (virtual-first model, with one training session in London)

The Role: Co-Design Your Career

Marsm UK believe in co-creation. Throughout the residency, Young Producers will actively shape the programme to suit long-term goals. You will have agency over the training you receive and the project you bring to life.

To support your project, Marsm provides:
Bespoke Training: 4 sessions in areas like marketing, programming, stage management, and production, delivered by industry-leading partners
Dedicated Mentorship: Monthly 1:1 sessions with Marsm’s leadership team to guide your professional development
Financial Support: A fee for your work and a small project budget managed by you
Industry Access: Use of Marsm’s extensive networks, marketing channels, and venue contacts

Eligibility Criteria:

The Young Producers Residency is suitable for those who are:
* Aged 18 – 25
* From a Global Majority background
* Face systemic barriers to entry to the music industry
* Based in the UK and have the right to work in the UK
* Able to start the residency on June 1st 2026
