The New Sounds Jazz Workshop, a free-to-access, independent and immersive jazz course, will be taking place at The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire from Monday 30th to Thursday 2nd April 2026. Led by six of the UK’s most sought after musicians and educators, the workshop is open to all instrumentalists and vocalists aged 11-18 years old and will guide young people through essential jazz techniques.

Venue: Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, 200 Jennens Rd, Birmingham B4 7XR 
Dates and times: 30th March - 2nd April 2026 (during the Easter break) 10am - 4pm each day 
Application Deadline 20 February 2026 
Application decisions: week of the 23 Feb 2026 
Open to all instrumentalists and vocalists aged between 11-18 years - 
No prior experience of jazz necessary
