Wanted: A Choir Director with Heart (and a Sense of Humor!)

Are you a musical leader who believes that singing is about more than just hitting
the right notes? Feltham Community Choir are looking for our next Director!
Who are we?

We are a spirited, non-auditioned community choir that prizes inclusion, mental
well-being, and social connection above all else. We love Pop, Musical Theatre, and
a good harmony that "stretches the brain" without the stress.

What are we looking for?

• The "Encourager": Someone patient who makes every singer feel like a rockstar.
• The "Energy-Giver": A leader with a great sense of humour who keeps rehearsals fun and efficient.

The Details:

Where: All Saints Church, Feltham
When: Tuesdays 18:30-20:00
Pay: Competitive and negotiable, paid per rehearsal upon receipt of an invoice.
Employment Status: The Choir Director will be engaged on a self-employed basis and will be responsible for their own tax and National Insurance contributions.

Recruitment Process & Timelines

We want to ensure a great fit for both you and our singers. Our recruitment process will follow these stages:
Stage 1: Interview – An initial conversation to discuss your musical background and approach to community leadership.
Stage 2: Choir Audition – Shortlisted candidates will be invited to meet the choir and lead a short, 20-minute teaching session to showcase your style in action.

We aim to conduct interviews in early May, with choir auditions following shortly after. We hope to have our new Director in place by early June.
