How can we use creativity to shift power to young people? (Social imagination and playwork) with Art Against Knives

Art Against Knives will look at How we use creativity to shift power to young people.

This space has been designed by our team Art Against Knives; bringing to life what young people have taught us about how to create lasting social change. The session we will be led by Rickardo Stewart which will explore social imagination, our approach to cultiativing co-produced safe spaces and touch on our commitment to anti-oppression, transformative justice and liberation and specifically what this looks like in practice.

We’ve carefully packaged up our AAK knowledge so that it can be heard outside of the walls of our creative spaces. Our hope is that it will inspire and influence others who share our vision; for every young person to be able to imagine and create their own positive futures, free from violence.

Art Against Knives are on a mission to ensure every young person in Barnet is able to create their own hopeful futures.

For the past 13 years, Art Against Knives has been working in partnership with young people and their communities to design safe, creative spaces across Barnet. We use creativity to make it possible for young people to imagine the change they want to see for themselves and their communities and work with them to action this.

We require you to let us know 24 hours before if you cannot make a session.
