Young people taking part in our projects develop technical skills and abilities. They learn to play instruments, to sing, to perform. To improvise, to write songs, to edit and produce.
They discover what it means to be a musician. To express themselves, to be creative, to understand the music they like and dislike – and why. They get the chance to experiment, interpret and explore.
And they learn about different kinds of musical worlds and roles. The elements and cultures which lead to particular genres. Through going to gigs and laying down tracks. Meeting inspirational role models, understanding the range of musical careers available, developing aspirations.
