Exeter University Chamber Orchestra

Exeter University Chamber Orchestra is an auditioned group currently comprising 27 string players conducted by Paul McClure. We are a student run and led orchestra, all of whom study a wide range of subjects but are united in our passion for music. We play a wide variety of music, from Mozart's Brandenburg concertos to the John Ireland Downland Suite to Piazzolla's Libertango. We have one or two concerts each term, which gives us the chance to perform in venues such as the beautiful Exeter Cathedral Chapter House and the University's own Mary Harris Memorial Chapel. Each year we go on tour, this being the main highlight of the Chamber Orchestra's calendar. This year's tour was to Budapest, and past destinations have included Prague, Croatia, Nice and Barcelona.
