We are incredibly grateful to the organisers and attendees of the Protection Racket gig at The Garage in Islington, London. The event raised over £3,000 for Youth Music!

The gig - organised and attended mainly by staff working in the protection sector of the insurance industry - featured a range of performers and band members shedding their work suits and letting their hair down for a fantastic evening of live music.

Bands including Lace and Whiskey, Thedeadlines, Nigel’s Heroes and The Fillers took to the stage to strut their stuff and raise funds for Youth Music.

Prizes including a Kindle, rugby event tickets and Thomas Cook holiday vouchers were auctioned, raising £1,000.

We’d especially like to thank Kevin Carr of Kevin Carr Consulting and Protection Review, his helpers and all the performers who worked so hard to make it such a great night.

Your support helps us reach more young people

Events like Protection Racket help us to fund even more life-changing music-making activities for children and young people who otherwise wouldn't get the opportunity.

If you’d like to put on a gig to raise funds for Youth Music, contact us fundraising@youthmusic.org.uk to let us know. We can send you some promotional materials to use on the night.
