What distinguishes one young person from the next is not ability but access, access to education and access to opportunity.

Investing in our children and young people is an investment in the future for all of us. Youth Music believes that we all have not only an obligation, but also a tremendous opportunity, to influence young people's experience of growing up and improving their life chances. Through music we can help them fulfill their potential and make the most of their lives.

In supporting and developing the artistic opportunities available to young people, Youth Music is looking to make a difference not only in their lives but also in the communities in which they live. Our projects aim to develop sustainable change and regeneration in the communities in which we work, which are also some of the most deprived in the UK. But we realise that we can only bring about this change by working in partnership with the local communities and other members of the charitable sector. A united and strategic approach to tackling local and national problems can make a significant impact in a surprisingly short space of time.

As Youth Music seeks to develop its involvement in tackling social issues such as health and youth justice we hope to find several suitable charitable partners, with whom we could achieve our mutual objectives and address the problems with our combined expertise and investment.
