Legacies
Every bequest helps us towards our aim.

There remains much to be done, both to complete existing projects and create new programmes, which will enable even more children and young people to enjoy and have access to musical opportunities.

Leaving a Legacy to Youth Music has a number of advantages:

  • Legacies made to registered charities are free of Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax
  • Such bequests can therefore reduce the tax burden levied on your estate
  • A legacy can enable you to support Youth Music in a way that might not otherwise be possible during your lifetime

You may wish to direct your donation towards one of our exciting projects or to allow the Trustees of Youth Music to decide how most effectively to make use of your bequest.

If you have not already made a Will, a visit to your solicitor will ensure that your beneficiaries will inherit according to your wishes. If you do already have a Will and you would like to leave a legacy to Youth Music, your solicitor can draft an addendum called a Codicil.

For more information about legacies to Youth Music, please contact the Fundraising & Development team on
