Corporate fundraising
Corporate and Event fundraising
A partnership with Youth Music can be hugely beneficial for both employer and employee.  Employee fundraising, from marathon running to dress down days, is a fun and effective way for individuals to get to know colleagues, learn new skills and set personal challenges, whilst corporate sponsorship or a product affiliation with Youth Music can enhance the company’s brand value in the eyes of staff, suppliers and the wider community.

Every penny in every pound that you and your company raise will go directly towards the projects that we support.  So whether you want to organise a one-off fundraising event, are looking for a ‘charity of the year’ or seek a partner to launch a product, we would like to hear from you.

Wembley Stadium

Youth Music and Wembley Stadium have joined forces to raise both funds and awareness for our work for disadvantaged young people.

Wembley Stadium has long played host to some of the world’s most influential musical icons, from The Rolling Stones to The Three Tenors, and some of the 20th century’s most historical and life-changing events, such as Live Aid and the Nelson Mandela Tribute Concerts.

We look forward to working with Wembley Stadium over the next two years, and raising both awareness and funds, through a range of employee fundraising activities and other exciting initiatives.  Watch this space for more details.

Festivals

Youth Music has been active at some of the UK’s biggest festivals in 2007, raising funds and awareness, and we’ll be on the road again in 2008.

Festival goers have been making generous donations, and wearing Youth Music Revolting Youth t-shirts, exclusively designed by Katherine Hamnett including Glastonbury, Guilfest and Lovebox.

Thank you to sponsorship agency, Formula 10, who enabled Youth Music to have a presence at the summer festivals, and to the festival oranisers themselves for being fantastic hosts.  Finally, a very big thank you to everyone who donated, wore t-shirts and helped make a difference to the lives of young people who have least access to music-making opportunities.

In 2008, Youth Music will once again be donning wellies and shades and hitting the festival trail.  Watch this space to find out where we will be, so you can lend your support.

The Big Sing

Youth Music is partnering with Young Voices to lead an attempt on the Guinness World Record for the largest number of children singing simultaneously.

The Big Sing will take place Monday 8 December 2008 and is aiming to get one million children singing in schools across the UK; the current record stands at 293,978.  Thousands of children will also sing at the O2 in London with a star studded line up of world-class artists.

The Big Sing will also raise much needed funds for Youth Music and its charity partners, with each of the participating children invited to make a donation of at least £1.

To get your primary school involved, visit the Big Sing website and register.  You’ll be kept up to date with details of the chosen song, the stars that will lead the O2 extravaganza and information on how you can donate when you take part in the Big Sing!

The Academy of Contemporary Music

The Academy of Contemporary Music has adopted music charity Youth Music as its first charity partner. The partnership launched with a bang in February, with a fundraiser at the Academy’s Awards Evening at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire, London.

“There is a great fit between our two organisations”, commented Julia Leggett, ACM’s Commercial Director. “I am excited about working with Youth Music and supporting grass roots music-making for children with least opportunity.”

Youth Music is delighted to work with ACM, which over the past 12 years has developed some of the most innovative music industry education currently available anywhere in the world, with accredited Diploma, Higher Diploma and Degree courses in Guitar, Bass, Drums, Vocals, Music Production, Creative Sound Design and Music Business.
