Scissor Sisters give their support to Youth Music!
The award winning band will donate some proceeds from their UK tour
The massively successful Scissor Sisters recently embarked upon their UK tour and will be traveling the length and breadth of the country throughout November. The band has generously chosen to support Youth Music and Sound Futures (the Birmingham Youth Music Action Zone), at two of their sell out gigs, after carefully selecting a number of causes they wanted to help out.
They are hoping to raise as much money as possible for both charities by accepting donations from their guest-list which has proved very successful so far. The band has also allowed both Youth Music and ‘Sound Futures’ a visual presence at their Birmingham (Nov 13, 2006) and London (Nov 24, 2006) gigs to allow for maximum awareness of our work.
Two tickets to the Birmingham NIA gig were additionally donated for a competition on www.soundfutures.org
The fundraising initiative has been organised by the Cato Trust who work with the music industry in Britain to raise money for good causes.
