ReZonance powers down for an evening of acoustic music

Young musicians from Thurrock are to feature in a showcase evening of acoustic music at the Thameside Theatre

June 2005

Following the success of the first ‘Unplugged’ evening, young musicians from Thurrock are to feature in a showcase evening of acoustic music at the Thameside Theatre, Grays on Tuesday June 21 at 7.30 pm.

The cream of Thurrock’s young musical talent will come together in the newly refurbished foyer of the Thameside Theatre, Grays. This event is hosted by ReZonance, one of twenty-four National Lottery funded Youth Music Action Zones in the United Kingdom. Over the next two years, the Thurrock Youth Music Action Zone will provide a range of exciting music making opportunities for young people in the Borough.

The band scene is thriving within Thurrock and the showcase evening will provide young bands and solo performers with a chance to present their music in an informal setting. Although a small amount of amplification will be used to ensure that the audience can appreciate the performances, the evening will be enjoyable for everyone, particularly those music lovers who prefer to listen at lower volume levels.

Young bands and solo performers interested in taking part should contact Simon Lowman, Project Director of ReZonance

Admission to the event is free of charge.
