Prokofiev Proves Popular in Kids' Classical Music Poll
Classic FM announces top 10 of children's favourite classical works.
The nation's children have been polled by Classic FM to discover which classical works are hitting the right note with kids across the country, and the results are in.
Unsurprisingly the John Williams film theme from the global smash that is the Harry Potter film series comes top, however Prokofiev proves to be the most popular classical composer overall, with 3 appearances in the top 10.
Most of the music featured comes from grand orchestral scores that invoke story-telling, magic and mystery. It's clear that these classical works can stimulate children's imagination, allowing them to discover new and enchanting musical worlds.
