Opera for children
Action for Children's Arts is hosting a one day conference for all those interested in exploring opera and theatre with children
The national charity and membership organisation is holiding the conference on 19 April 2010 and will explore the hows and whys of producing opera for young audiences.
The 'Inspiration Day' is aimed at children’s arts professionals and will examine ways in which children’s theatre and opera can inform and inspire each other.
The programme includes presentations by Hullabaloo/Action Transport, Cahoots, Polka/Little Angel, Scottish Opera, The Opera Group at the Young Vic and a complete performance of Welsh National Opera’s A Real Princess.
Action for Children's Arts holds a programme of regional and national events to promote the Manifesto for Children’s Arts and aims to cover the whole of the UK by the end of this year, giving everyone involved with children’s arts the chance to meet, share ideas and put forward ideas for action.
