NCO Open Access Days for 7-13 year olds

National Children's Orchestra offer free open days for young musicians

National Youth Music Organisation - The National Children's Orchestra of Great Britain(NCO) - are offering young musicians aged between 7 and 13 the opportunity to experience the thrill of playing in a full symphony orchestra!

They are holding free ‘Open Access' days in four regions from 9.30am - 4.30pm throughout September.

East

St. Mary’s Senior School

South West

Young musicans involved will get to play alongside members of The National Children’s Orchestra of Great Britain, and perform in a joint concert for parents
at the end of the day. A reasonable standard would be beneficial although no exams need to have been taken. Beginners may find the music quite
challenging but it should not put them off attending.

What to expect
There will be sectional rehearsals with help from the expertise of our music tutors, selected from major orchestras, conservatoires, specialist music schools and other leading musicians. Participants will join NCO’s Regional Orchestras (comprising members from all five of this year’s orchestras, ranging in age from 7 – 14) to experience playing in a full symphony orchestra.
