First-ever Learning Fellowship on the Clore Leadership Programme
The successful candidate will have an individually tailored programme, lasting a year or longer
The Clore Duffield Foundation has announced this month that it will be funding the first-ever Learning Fellowship on the Clore Leadership Programme.
The Learning Fellowship is open to those working in education/learning in cultural organisations or those at a senior level within formal education who have a particular engagement with culture. The successful candidate will have an individually tailored programme, lasting a year or longer, and starting in September 2007. This will include two intensive residential leadership courses; professional development through mentoring, tuition and group learning; an in-depth research project, supervised by a Higher Education Institution; and a period of secondment, including experience of managing a challenging project.
The Clore Leadership Programme is designed to help develop the knowledge, skills, networks and experience of potential leaders across a wide range of cultural activity.
Sally Bacon, Director of the Clore Duffield Foundation, said: “The Foundation is seeking to make an impact on the crucial senior learning posts which are emerging within cultural organisations. We hope that the Learning Fellowship will be taken up by a potential member of a senior management team who will lead the complex mix of learning, access, public benefit and interpretation that education increasingly represents. We look forward to seeing a high number of applications from talented educators”.
The closing date for applications for the Learning Fellowship on the Clore Leadership Programme is Monday, February 19, 2007. The name of the Fellow will be announced in June.
