Feedback Autumn 06 correction

An amend to the 'Safe Transfer' article on page 25

We would like to take this opportunity to correct a proofing error which occurred in the Autumn 06 edition of Feedback magazine.

In the ‘Safe Transfer’ article on page 25, an inaccurate amend was made to the original copy by author Ben Cole changing the meaning of a statement.

The sentence concerned originally read: "This is clarified by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) 2005 Monitoring Curriculum and Assessment (MCA) research which showed that across the country the transfer of data to secondary schools about what children have experienced and achieved in music at primary school is poor." However, a cut was made erroneously changing it to read: "children's experience of music in school is poor".

This was not the author’s original statement and it does not reflect the views of Youth Music. We sincerely apologise for any offence it may have caused to the formal education sector.
