Celebrate Shine Week 2009
An opportunity to showcase the talented young people you work with
Shine Week is a chance to focus on positive stories about England's young people.
In association with CCE, Talent & Enterprise Taskforce, DSCF and Arts Council England, Shine invites schools, organisations and young people to plan and host events to showcase everyone's talents in classrooms, halls, playgrounds, community spaces and cultural venues across the country.
Shine Week takes place from 6-10 July 2009 and is an opportunity to focus attention on your achievements and good practice. Look at everything you have achieved since July 2008, everything you are proud of, and find a way to celebrate.
Shine week 2008 was a great success. Over one million school students took part in around 10,000 events and activities. Over 2,500 schools and organisations joined the campaign revealing the talents of young carers, entrepreneurs, motivators, leaders, scientists, musicians, artists and more.
Does your organisation work with schools or young people? How have you nurtured and celebrated the talents of young people? Shine is the chance to show off and promote your organisation's education work.
Join in this growing national campaign to celebrate all talent in all young people. Find creative ways to tell the positive stories of the young people you work with during Shine week. Use Shine to showcase your organisation, your staff and the achievements you are most proud of.
