Thank you for the music
We laughed, we cried, but most importantly we sang our little hearts out. After ten hardcore hours of karaoke madness on 2 November, the Youth Music and Sing Up crew have so far managed to raise £1k to help fund more music-making opportunities for children and young people across the nation, but we still need your help.
As part of the Charioke marathon put together by Refugee Action in association with Lucky Voice, we sang our way through a whole series of requests from power ballads and rock classics through to the inevitable Grease megamix.
Our team of stellar singers was also honoured with an award for best performance in the Urban/Rap category after a, some would say, obscure take on Eminem's 'Stan'. According to the independent adjudicator the performance was of 'recording star quality'. Watch this space.
We also performed a group charity song to focus on the cause in hand. Check out the vid below:
If you've been inspired by our test of vocal endurance then please donate what you can. Every penny goes directly to projects that Youth Music supports.
Thank you.
