Jordan Birtles

"I joined the Youth Music Council to be a voice for the young music makers and to gain knowledge on how funded organisations work. I would like to have the opportunity to work with music providers, musicians and organisations from all over the country. I also want to take part in helping young people, like myself, be apart of music making projects or even to instigate music projects/workshops so younger people will be involved in keeping music live".

Jordan is 16 and lives in Leicester.  He plays in four bands; an Indie/Pop band, a Ska band, an Alternative/Pop band and a Samba/Hip Hop/Drum n Bass drumming band. He sings as well as playing the drums, the guitar and the bass. Jordan is also in the school beat box choir called Urban Sounds.
