Executive Director
Salary: c. £65,000
Based: London
Youth Music is currently undergoing radical change. The new Executive Director will be the lead senior executive of a smaller, more entrepreneurial organisation and above all will believe that music–making should be part of every young life.
We are looking for an energetic and visionary leader, committed to Youth Music and its cause, with experience of managing a large department or small organisation and the ability to motivate and inspire to ensure the delivery of business objectives.
You will have a proven track record of successful business strategy development and implementation, and of setting up and leading or overseeing projects through a period of change, with the ability to develop new ideas. You will also possess good business, financial, influencing, interpersonal and communication skills, credibility with a wide range of stakeholders and an understanding of the UK voluntary fundraising environment.

Operations Director
Salary: £55,000
Based: London
The new Operations Director will be a member of the senior leadership team and will assist in the strategic planning, development and management of the organisation.
We are looking for an energetic and visionary leader, committed to Youth Music and its cause, with experience of managing a large department or small organisation and of programme development, applications to statutory funders and management of large statutory grants.
You will have excellent organisational, analytical, communication and negotiation skills and be an experienced manager and motivator of people with a record of successfully setting up projects to steer through periods of change. You will also have an awareness and knowledge of contemporary operational development theory and methods, credibility with stakeholders and the ability to develop and maintain key relationships.

Media and PR Associate
Salary: £29,000 pro rata
Based: London
The overall purpose of this role is to provide public relations and media support for all areas of the charity with a strong emphasis on supporting fundraising and new business development.
Key areas of responsibility will include acting as the first point of contact for all media enquiries, developing and managing strong relationships with celebrities and high profile music industry contacts and developing brand affiliation with corporate sponsors. Working alongside the Communications Team, they will also inform the creation and delivery of the charity’s communications strategy.
Other areas of responsibility:
- Recruit and nurture relationships with celebrities and high profile music industry contacts.
- Develop brand affiliation with corporate supporters and PR agencies.
- Develop media contacts and actively build relationships to raise Youth Music’s profile.
- Creation of content for print and web where required.
This role is part time at 2.5 days per week or 18.75 hours.

Communications Associate
Salary: £28,000 (circa)
Based: London
The overall purpose of this role is to manage the production and distribution of content targeting Youth Music’s key external audiences, implementing the digital strategy and providing communications support to teams within the organisation.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Lead on the development and implementation of a content strategy aligned with Youth Music’s strategic direction.
- Contribute to the development of a digital strategy aligned with Youth Music’s strategic direction and support its implementation.
- Co-ordinate distribution and promotion of content through a range of channels including, but not exclusive to, social media platforms and e-bulletins.
- Co-ordinate the implementation of new initiatives that support the digital strategies and content strategies providing both project management and hands on support.
- Make decisions regarding the on-going maintenance and development of the site in consultation with Design and Digital Assistant, colleagues, partners and end users.

Finance Business Partner
Salary: £44,000 pro rata (2.5 days per week)
Based: London
As the senior finance person in the organisation, the Finance Business Partner will be responsible for:
- Management and development of the internal and external financial reporting and internal control framework of Youth Music
- Organisational business and finance support for on-going and new business ideas
- Oversight and support of the budgeting and business planning process
- Management of outsourcing of finance and HR functions ensuring quality support
Working for the Executive Director and closely with the Chair of the Finance & Audit Committee this role will supports Youth Music in achieving its mission of helping children and young people with least opportunity discover their creativity and potential through music making.
You will be accountable for the finance and management accounting, support of programme teams, funded programmes, management of the outsourced finance function and internal and external audit. Candidates must have the following;
- CCAB qualified
- Experience of managing a complex finance function ideally gained within the charity sector
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload/ work on own initiative
- IT literacy
- Experience working with financial outsourcing is desirable

Fundraising Co-ordinator
Salary:£26000 circa (pro-rata) Part Time – 3 days per week
Based: London
The Fundraising Coordinator will provide key administrative and communications support to all individual donors, from low-level through to high net worth individuals via the Fundraising Board.
Working closely with the Director of Fundraising and New Business and Executive Director, the post-holder will enable Youth Music to maintain and grow individual donations with a focus on development of the Fundraising Board.
You will have proven experience in marketing or fundraising and strong planning and organisational skills. It is expected that you will also have excellent communication skills and understanding of individual donor needs and awareness of a range of fundraising techniques as well as the ability to use Raiser’s Edge or similar database programme effectively and an awareness of tax efficient giving methods.
