Youth Music Voices Launch Events

Latest news: Booking for the Youth Music Voices launch event in the South East is now open! Check out the event page for more details.
Taking part in a Youth Music Voices launch event could be your first step in joining Youth Music’s national singing team.
The open access workshops are the chance for 14-19 year olds to take part in a day of lively and challenging group vocal activities led by Richard Frostick; with opportunities to experience different styles and new repertoire. The event will result in a mass informal performance at the end of the day.
Each event will feature two very exciting guest artists - more details soon!
Participants will also be able to find out more about local choirs and singing groups in their area, along with performance opportunities linked to the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad.
The next event is taking place on 3 October at Turner Sims, Southampton. Check out the Youth Music Voices Launch Event - South East page for more details.
Further events will be taking place across the rest of the country until January 2011. For more details, please visit the Further Events page.

The next step – Youth Music Voices Selection Workshops
At the launch events, young singers will also be able to register their interest to take part in regional selection workshops.
Young people who are invited to these workshops will take part in more advanced singing activities which will be a key part of the recruitment process for the Youth Music Voices Ensemble, with vocal leaders acting as scouts during the workshop, alongside Richard Frostick.
Following the selection events, small scale workshop/auditions will be held across the country to finalise membership of Youth Music Voices Ensemble.
