Volunteering

volunteering

Because of Youth Music there are now more high quality music-making opportunities for a wider range of children and young people than ever before, from learning rock guitar or beat boxing to classical violin and everything in between.

Youth Music needs help to realise our vision of creating an environment where any young person, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to discover their creativity and fulfill their potential
This is where YOU come in.

Volunteering with Youth Music will allow you to;

• Support a worthwhile cause that touches thousands of young lives
• Develop your own professional or personal skills
• Make a real difference to disadvantaged children and young people

Volunteer Fundraisers

If you want to fundraise for us, there are lots of fun and interesting options you could try. A Youth Music fundraising event can happen anytime, anywhere. It’s all up to you.

How about doing a fundraising gig?
It does not have to take place in a standard venue, nor does it have to be a conventional gig.  Plus it will give you and your friends a chance to take part and perform at your very own music festival! Find your own platform to showcase music that may not otherwise have this platform.  You can also sell your tickets online through WeGotTickets and the proceeds will be donated to us. Find out how.

Or how about a sponsored challenge?
Walk, run, cycle - whatever you're in to, you could use it to raise money for us.  Find out more about fundraising challenges.

Or sell unwanted instruments or other items on Ebay?
We have an Ebay page, where you can register to sell your instrument and set the percentage of the sale price that you would like to donate to us. Find out more

Any way you want to do it, if you love music and want to raise money for a charity that promotes music and musical creativity by putting on your own musical fundraising event, then go for it!

“Funding from Youth Music enabled us to provide an enhanced project with higher performance values.  This fostered a number of outcomes: confidence, skills in singing and performance, and respect for themselves and those they worked with.”
