Donor Charter

When you choose to support Youth Music, you need to know that your funds are going to help solve the problems you identify as important.

We believe we have an obligation to our supporters to be accountable and as such, here is our Charter of Rights to explicitly state what you can expect.

As a Youth Music donor, you have the right to:

  • Be informed of Youth Music's mission, how it intends to use donated resources, and its ability to use them effectively.
  • Have access to Youth Music’s most recent financial statements.
  • Know the names of those serving on the governing board (trustees) and expect them to be supportive of all Youth Music’s fundraising initiatives.
  • Be informed whether those seeking donations are volunteers or hired employees of Youth Music.
  • Feel free to ask questions when making a donation and to receive prompt, truthful, and forthright answers.
  • Be assured that gifts are used for the purposes for which they are given.
  • Know that your donation will be banked promptly so that it is working for young people as soon as possible.
  • Feel certain that you will receive appropriate acknowledgment and recognition.
  • Be assured that information will be handled with respect and confidentiality in compliance with the UK Data Protection Act (1998).
