Regional Executive Officer: Heloise Davies
The East Midlands region covers 12% of England’s total land area encompassing rural, urban, coastal and commuter areas and ex-coalfields. Unlike most other regions, the East Midlands has no dominant regional capital. It has an increasing and diverse population leading to a wealth of cultural influences and a rich heritage.
It is an area of contrasts, incorporating areas of both affluence and deprivation, and for the region’s children, young people and music sector, there is a huge range of existing and emerging issues that we are committed to facing head on.
One of our continuing strategies is to build on our relationships with local and regional arts agencies, to ensure our offer to the region in the coming years is appropriate in the changing political climate and relevant to the lives of children and young people.
