Key Facts

  • Between 2006-2009 CYMAZ delivered nearly 3,500 music workshops to children and young people which involved over 10,000 participants, culminating in almost 250 performances being delivered to an audience total of over 10,000.
  • CYMAZ is a countywide music organisation delivering and facilitating high quality music making and performance opportunities. CYMAZ believes in the power of music to transform lives and works with a range of partner agencies across Cornwall to ensure that music making and performance opportunities are available and accessible.
  • In 2010 CYMAZ is launching a youth internet radio station, developing a touring circuit and continuing to offer music making workshops suited to the needs and interests of young people.
  • Cornwall scores highly on the multiple deprivation indices qualifying for European Social Fund Objective 1 funding.
