Our Work
Youth Music is national children's charity providing funding for music projects and activities for children aged 0-18. Since 1999, we've reached over 2 million children and young people, helping to transform their lives through the power of music.
This section of the website provides information on how we distribute our funding and some of the organisations, partnership programmes and initiatives that we fund. You can also view our funding map which shows where our funding has gone and how many young people we have reached.
Open Programme Fund - available to organisations wishing to apply for grants of £5,000 to £30,000. See full details and eligibility criteria
Youth Music Action Zones - Since December 2000, Youth Music has set up 22 Action Zones (YMAZs) in areas of social and economic need across England and Wales to provide music-making activities to 0-18 year olds who might otherwise lack opportunity.
Partnership programmes - Youth Music works with a number of key partnership organisations to deliver strategic music-making initiatives
Initiatives - Youth Music supports special initiatives and events that complement its three main funding streams; Open programmes, Youth Music Action Zones and Partnership Programmes
