• The Music Zone's wider activities funded by Youth Music started in September 2003.
• Brickfields Music Centre was regenerated in partnership with Plymouth City Council, Plymouth Local Education Authority and Devonport Regeneration Company, using £437,358 of Space for Sport and the Arts funding.
  

Initially funded by an anonymous benefactor, the Plymouth Music Zone activities started in September 1999; working with schools within the Plymouth Education Action Zone, the Plymouth Music Zone has now spread its activities city-wide.
