The impact of the 20 Youth Music Action Zones established across England has motivated an anonymous donor to contribute £260k
for the setting up of two Action Zones in Wales. Youth Music is extremely grateful for the support of the Welsh Arts Council
in Cardiff, which helped identify these as areas that would benefit most from its investment.
The first Zone in Ynys Môn (Anglesey) was launched in July 2003. The second Zone in Merthyr Tydfil was launched in June 2004.
