• Big About Music has raised more than £65,000 in partnership funding
• Corby local authority is 60th in the Top 100 Deprived Local authorities by Income Deprivation Affecting Children (IDACI)
• Big About Music operates in the towns of Kettering and Corby, also drawing participants from surrounding villages
• The Corby wards of Kingswood, Hazelwood and Danesholme have particularly high rates of drug and alcohol misuse, anti social behaviour, and crime
• 13% of the population of both towns is under 19 years old
• Corby has the highest proportion of population in England with low levels of literacy and numeracy
• Corby has an Education Action Zone involving 25 schools
