Youth Music’s Environmental Policy

Youth Music seeks to enrich young lives with quality and sustainable music making activity.  Youth Music also seeks to improve and sustain the environment into which these young people are growing up into by operating in ways which minimise our adverse environmental impact, and by working to decrease our carbon footprint.

Our objectives are;

We will do this by;

Employing an organisational Green Champion(s) who will: promote the environmental policy on a day to day and long-term basis; generate ideas to support the policy and act as a point of contact for all staff members’ ideas and queries relating to the environment and the work we do.

Re-using products and recycling as much waste as possible.

Sourcing and promoting products that minimise the environmental impact of both production and distribution including using 100% post-consumer recycled paper.

Assess the services that the charity employs and ensure that they have the lowest environmental impact in their field.

Carrying out and publishing an annual audit of emissions produced.
