Ongoing work in music provision:

93% continue to offer music making services
for children and young people beyond the life of Youth Music funding.

94% continue to work in one or more of Youth Music’s priority areas. Over half are working in all five of Youth Music’s priority areas.

94% report growing market demand within the priority areas, this is particularly true of At Risk and Workforce Development.

89% are continuing to work with some young people from the Youth Music funded project.

57% report participant retention of more than 50%

90% report ongoing demand for the work from children and young people

89% report ongoing demand from schools, youth and community organisations

92% are still working with people and organisations they worked with or met through their Youth Music funded project

62% have received funding from other sources since the end of their Youth Music funded project, of these 59% have leveraged funding from the education sector:

  • 55% from the arts sector
  • 24% from social services

Our goal is to ensure that all children with musical talent and potential have opportunities to develop their talent regardless of background or chosen genre.
